Mrs. Deshawnaye Takei's Dennis Carter

 The Past And Future

       December 29th, 1974, a child was born. A special child, but know one knew that yet. This was a miracle child, one who escaped death at the beginning of life. At age 1, this child was snatched from reality. She was physically abused by her real mother, by being put in a hot tub of water and burned beyond belief. A neighbor saved this child's life from the curling screams of agony that a mother, with no comprehension of being a mother, left her in. When they found this child in that bath tub, full of blood and hanging on to dear life, the authority's figured she wouldn't survive, but she did.  She was adopted at age 3, and the place she grew up in, was very strict and abusive. some abuse is to harsh to mention. put it like this, they would be in jail today  for the stuff they did. All at the same time, she endured a lot of mental, oral and physical abuse. They even cut her hair off, saying she was to vain, go figure. She pressed charges, and the woman was brought up on child abuse charges, that still hunts her employment status today. But she took the abuse, the bullying, the beatings, she took it all, and all it did was make her a stronger person.  Although she had to learn how to walk again, feed again, and do normal stuff as a child, all over again, she did , and became the most multi-talented person you can meet. Growing up in the heart of South Central LA, she had no choice but to find her way. With no real family and nothing to cling to, she decided to express herself through Art. She joined a clique which enjoyed street graffiti, and that is where her journey began.

       With tons of street smarts and graffiti skills, she decided to start crafting, painting and drawing everything she has seen. Today, that skill is still cherished and used. Check out the page;

DeeCreative@facebook.com. Its full of Designs she created digitally and painted. Her artistic skills will always flourish, and as they say, "practice makes perfect, and cant get perfect, without practice.

        At age 9, her life took a turn. She realized she was Epileptic, and it plagued her life for 5 years. From Granmal Seizures to PetiteMal Seizures. she had them back to back, so bad, one school kicked her out, due to not being able afford, to take her home every other day, because of a seizure. That school was, Holmes International, Located in Northridge. Northridge to Los Angeles was not a quick trip, so they transferred her to a school that was closer to her home, Charles drew jr. high. When that happen, that was a beginning to a new nightmare. then She went to a christian school for a few years, were they gave swats and beat you if you didn't bring in homework.  Miracle Baptist Christian school was the name of that prison of education, located on, 83rd and Central, in the heart of South Central LA. A harsh way to teach, but it gave her stamina for the next level of life. At that school, she joined the choir, although she was already in the choir at the church she resided in, while living with foster mother, Delores Jean Dennis, she still decided it was a good idea to polish her vocals. This Delores Jean Dennis, was "the meanest woman she ever met" she says. The Queen of no tolerance. "Whip ass now and ask questions later", was her motto, and that's exactly what happened and what she did.

        The neighborhood schools was overthrown with gangs, bullies and every mean and cruel kid that loved to tease, fight and they jumped other kids every other day. She was known as the "Seizure Girl". While the gangs bullied her almost everyday of her life, she used to run home hoping she wouldn't run into any of them. The people that bullied her the most was the girls from the blue gang called, "76th east coast", off of 78th and Compton Ave. These females bullied a lot of girls in that neighborhood,  and she was one in particular. no one really knows why, but it got so bad , they actually beat her into a seizure one day, and had the nerve to drag her home. Her adoptive family was furious, and wanted  to investigate, so they decided to press charges. charges was pressed, and these bullies served time. Kudos!! to D, for standing up for herself and giving those other girls that were bullied the courage to do the same.

         Soon, Dangerous's foster mother took sick, dangerous begin being more of a nurse, then a daughter. No one would really help her mom, family wise, cause she was so mean. the nurse came and taught her how to give shots and other things  to help her mom. Dangerous was sick herself, but she just did, what needed to be done. They soon moved her mom  to a convalescent home for about 2-3 years, then she past away in 1997.

she left Deshawnaye with nothing and i do mean nothing, and no one, other than a place to be burred, right in front

of her, in Inglewood park cemetery 1701 valor, in a mausoleum.

now its her against the world.

  She took all she went through, all she learned, all she felt, and put it all in her soul. And there stepped out a new girl. She didn't let, not knowing who she was or where she come from, stop her and she didn't even try to figure it out, she just lived on and found her way. She graduated  from John C Fremont High school in 1992 , from there went to Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet 1993, From there she went to Associated Technical College; MA/CT: MJR; Phlebotomy. She Graduated in 1995 ,from this medical trade school institution.

From there she went to, National Bartenders School, Graduated, Certified Mixologist 1999. At the same time, Commercial Modeling and doing Extra Movie scenes was a hobby. she Registered with; Unlimited Casting, Sessions Casting, and other non profit movie extra work. She is also a Beautician;since 1987, All Braids, All Weaves, All Barber cuts and trims. That's why her hair is always on fleek. Her shop is called;DeeDeeDesignsInc. Look it up on Facebook or on this website. Also on the side, to keep her singing in practice, she decided to sing for graduations, funerals, weddings, party's, basically any occasion that needed a singer. Today she is still doing all these things and much more.

One of her jobs, one summer, located at, the City Walk, Universal City, ca, She ended up working along side Farrah Franklin. At this time farrah was a nobody, star wise, but was working on being somebody. They clicked as friends immediately, cause they both loved fashion and  They both realized they had a voice, and began practicing together at a studio in Vanuys CA, owned by levi from 92.3 the beat. Everything was going great, till Dangerous decided to fall in love. She Ended up getting pregnant and that put her career on hold. Farrah Franklin, mean while, lands a great position with former group, Destinys Child , and the rest is history.
